Every tree has a story, this is ours…
Ryan and Jack began The Northern Wood Company from their home in Newcastle upon Tyne in late 2019. Both with a keen interest in candles, Ryan with a graphic design background and Jack a hobbyist woodworker, we bought these together to create The Northern Wood Company.
We’ve now moved to Northumberland – even closer to stunning natural locations which influence us and inspire what we’re creating, and what our business stands for.
Our philosophy
To create a simple, eco-conscious range for a more focused and calmer life. We aim to create the perfect mood, whatever day of the week or time of year with as little impact to the earth as possible.
Whether that’s using a scented candle and taking a moment to relax or simply enjoying making your mark when writing with one our pens, we apply our philosophy to all aspects of our small business.
Our Products
Our entire collection is made from sustainable products, vegan and cruelty-free. All of our candles and wax melts are made with a rapeseed & coconut wax blend, while our woods are sourced from sustainable sources. All of our products are developed, tested, created, packed, and shipped by Ryan and Jack from Northumberland.
